Build Teams

Strong cohesive teams are essential for healthy impactful organizations and successful businesses. My proven training system empowers you and your teams with the skills and tools necessary to be effective.

STEP #1 - Goals

The first and most important thing needed in building an effective team culture is a set of shared values, goals and practices.

STEP #2 - Clarity

We need an environment where goals and projects are transparent, so everybody is on the same footing.

STEP #3 - Unity

We need everyone on every team in the organization to have a common skill set for teamwork.

Team Connection. Successful Organizations.

Building a cohesive team: a photo of four people giving a high five.

We have all been part of a team where we are supposed to work together to get a job done, but, instead, end up having to work through personality differences.

It made us wish the project was over before it even started.

As a manager, do you feel like you are spending more time playing referee rather than being a coach?

Why can’t everyone just get along?

The ability for individuals within an organization to work together effectively and productively is now more critical than ever—it’s time to rewrite the rules of teamwork.

The first and most important thing needed in building an effective team culture is a set of shared values, goals and practices.

We also need an environment where goals and projects are transparent, so everybody is on the same footing. That leads to clarity on direction and synergy across the organization.

To foster this culture, we need free information flow across teams and the entire organization. This is essential as individuals and teams shift in a more fluid manner.

The reality is that we typically aren’t trained to have an effective teamwork skill set. Rather, most people base their understanding of effective teamwork on their experiences, on what they learned in childhood or through trial and error in the workplace.

Ultimately, to have an effective team culture we need everyone on every team in the organization to have a common skill set for teamwork, and this skill set is critical to the future success of the organization.

These traditional behaviors in a workplace setting, such as not challenging authority and hiding our flaws, can unfortunately get in the way.

A mind shift is needed. We need new rules and norms for how to work together.

We want to create an environment where there is trust, so team members…

  • can challenge one another productively
  • can improve rather than give criticisms that make people defensive or competitive and suspicious of others
  • strive for the best result
  • commit to the team’s decisions
  • hold one another accountable to assure an efficient team

There is power in these new rules. They allow us to be more authentic and to break down barriers that get in the way.

Let me help you and your team become better together. No more unproductive teams. Let go and crush the criticisms and unhealthy banter.
